Kilbeggan Organic Foods is a sixth-generation family farm based in Ballard, near Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, Ireland. Since switching to organic farming in 1999, they’ve stopped using chemicals like pesticides and artificial fertilizers. In 2012, they launched Kilbeggan Organic Porridge Oats, followed by handmade oat cookies using their own oats and Irish butter. Their dedication to quality and sustainability has earned them awards from Euro-Toques and Great Taste.
The farm is run by Pat Lalor and his family—his son John, daughter Lily, and wife Liz—all playing roles from farming to marketing. Every product is made using oats grown on their own land, ensuring full control over quality. They’re also part of the Origin Green sustainability program and support local causes like Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Their products are sold through select independent retailers around Ireland.
