Welcome to ‘localorganic.ie’. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Us

localorganic.ie is an online directory based in Ireland. We allow businesses across Ireland to list their products and services. We do not manufacture, sell, or deliver any products directly to customers. See About Us page.

localorganic.ie acts solely as a directory and intermediary platform and does not endorse, certify, or guarantee the status of any listed business or its products.

2. Directory  Listings

  • Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including any claims relating to organic status, sustainability, or product characteristics.
  • Products displayed on the site are sold and fulfilled directly by the listing businesses.
  • localorganic.ie does not hold inventory, manage orders, or provide shipping directly. Delivery of purchased products is solely the responsibility of the business from which the products have been purchased.
  • Listed businesses can verify shipping, delivery times, and return policies with the business directly.
  • localorganic.ie does not guarantee the validity of any organic certification claims made by listed businesses and does not independently verify such claims. Any representation of organic status is the responsibility of the business operator.

3. Organic Claims and Certification

Businesses listing on localorganic.ie are solely responsible for ensuring that any use of the term “organic” in their listings, descriptions, or associated products complies with applicable European Union legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2018/848.

localorganic.ie does not verify, audit, or certify whether a business holds a valid organic certification. Any claims relating to organic status are made by the business operator and not by localorganic.ie.

Businesses that are not certified organic must not describe, market, or present their products or services as “organic” in any manner that could mislead consumers.

localorganic.ie reserves the right to edit, restrict, or remove listings that appear to misuse or inaccurately represent organic claims.

localorganic.ie reserves the right to request evidence of organic certification from businesses where such claims are made and to remove or amend listings where sufficient evidence is not provided.

4. Payments

  • Paid listing packages, subscriptions and advertising services purchased directly from localorganic.ie are processed securely by Stripe. localorganic.ie does not store or have access to full payment card details. Card information is entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment environment.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method supplied at checkout at the billing interval and price displayed before purchase until the subscription is cancelled.

Payments made to localorganic.ie relate to our listing, subscription or advertising services. Payments for products or services offered by businesses listed in our directory are handled directly by those businesses unless expressly stated otherwise.

Payment processing is also subject to Stripe’s applicable terms and privacy practices. We do not store or process credit card information directly.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • Each listed business handles its own delivery.
  • Shipping options and delivery times may vary per listed store, retailer or business.
  • localorganic.ie does not guarantee shipping times or product availability.

6. Returns and Refunds

Refunds relating to products or services purchased directly from businesses listed on localorganic.ie must be requested from the relevant business. Each listed business is responsible for its own return and refund policy.

Refund requests relating to listing packages, subscriptions or advertising services purchased directly from localorganic.ie must be made directly to localorganic.ie.

Duplicate payments, incorrect charges or payment errors should be reported to us as soon as possible.

Cancellation of a subscription stops future renewal charges but does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund for a billing period that has already begun, except where required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that may apply.

7. Business Accounts and Subscriptions

Businesses may purchase listing packages and subscriptions to access additional listing features on localorganic.ie.

Following successful payment, an account may automatically be created using the email address supplied during checkout. The customer will receive an email containing instructions to set a password and access their account dashboard.

Paid listing subscriptions may renew automatically. The subscription price and billing period will be shown before payment.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise recurring charges to the payment method provided until the subscription is cancelled.

Customers can manage their listings and subscription through their account dashboard and available subscription management options.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges. Access to paid features will normally continue until the end of the period already paid for.

If a recurring payment fails, we may allow a grace period of up to 5 days to update or correct the payment method. If payment remains unsuccessful, paid package access may be suspended or removed.

Package features, prices and benefits may change from time to time. Where required, customers with an existing recurring subscription will be informed of material changes before they take effect.

8. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If a payment made to localorganic.ie is disputed, reversed or subject to a chargeback, we may temporarily suspend the associated listing package, subscription or advertising service while the matter is investigated.

Fraudulent or unauthorised use of payment methods may result in suspension or termination of the associated account.
